We are hiring Dog Walkers!

Here at Blue Dog, we believe in keeping our canine and human friends safe. That’s why we are dedicated to offering our clients the same daily walker and keeping our pack sizes small. As a walker with us, you will be on the same route each day. This allows you to get to know your furry friends and their owners better so that everyone can feel comfortable and safe.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • You will be assigned a route in one neighborhood and will walk the route 5 days per week throughout your time with us.

  • Each route consists of dog walks and cat visits.

  • Dog walks:

  • You will walk dogs privately and in a group. You will be asked to walk up to 3 dogs at a time.

  • All walks are performed on foot. You are not required to drive to and from appointments or to transport the dogs during their walk.

  • We will provide you with the supplies needed to perform the job.

Cat Visits:

  • You will be required to provide cats with socialization and playtime, replace their water and food, scoop their litter box, and complete small requests from the client.

  • Provide outstanding customer service to both the dogs and their owners.

  • Provide clients with daily updates and photos after each walk.

  • While this is a highly rewarding and fun job it is also very physically and mentally demanding. Being able to work hard is a must!

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must love dogs and cats!

  • Availability Monday - Friday between 10am-4pm. This is a 5 day/ week job.

  • Must be able to walk a minimum of 5 miles per day, up hills and stairs, rain or shine.

  • Previous success in a customer service position.

  • You must be a problem solver and able to work independently.

JOB INFORMATION:

  • This is an hourly position. Compensation is $19/hr.

  • This is an employee position, NOT an independent contractor job.

  • All training is done in-house. You are not required to obtain a Commercial Dog Walker Permit.
